Andrew Lamberto became the Director of Human Resources for San Bernardino County in 2005. At the time, he was a Division Director for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration at the graduate and undergraduate levels of California State University, San Bernardino.
Andrew Lamberto was born and raised in New Jersey, where he loved the outdoors and playing sports. In high school, he was selected to multiple all-star teams featuring the best high school players in his district. Lamberto graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. Andrew Lamberto took his degree and headed west. In 1997, while working for the County of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, he earned his Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
He used his continuing education to rise in the ranks of Human Resources until he became a Division Director by 2005. Lamberto then started working for San Bernardino County, where he eventually served in a dual capacity as the Director of Human Resources and the Executive Administrator over the Risk Management and Information Services departments. He was one of the “seconds” in command under the Chief Executive Officer for the County, which employs over 21,000 workers to serve the interests of the entire community. Lamberto provided many County workers with better opportunities and always had his workers’ interests in mind in all of his operations on behalf of the largest geographic County in the United States.
